Port State Control and Oil Major Inspection (PSC-OM)
Objectives: This course is intended for officers and the aim of the course is to develop understanding of Port State Control Inspections, Oil Major Vetting inspections and provide guidance on the preparation and conduct of such inspections to enable ship staff to ensure from the point of view of safety of life, ship and pollution prevention, that the ship is fit for service she is intended and fully complies with all applicable rules, regulations and conventions. The basic aim being passing the inspections with a clean record and have zero deficiencies.
